Guided by storytellers from the Gaston County Museum, guests will explore the waters surrounding Belmont while hearing tales connected to the town’s rich past and the communities shaped along the riverbanks.

Nestled between the Catawba River and Lake Wylie, Belmont has evolved from a historic mill town into a vibrant destination while preserving the character, traditions, and stories that make it unique. This guided nighttime tour offers visitors the chance to experience that history from a new perspective—on the water beneath the evening sky.

Hosted by Riverside Marina Paddle & Row, the event welcomes both experienced paddlers and adventurous beginners. The marina provides kayak and paddleboard rentals and is known for its “Paddle with a Purpose” mission, supporting community-focused initiatives while creating memorable experiences for visitors and families throughout the year.
